Open an Account
Choose the category that fits you, complete its form, and our customer care team will take it from there.
Account categories
Minor
A child under 18, opened and operated by a parent or guardian on their behalf.
Also required
- Identification for the parent or guardian operating the account
Corporate
A company, trustee or other registered body investing as an entity.
Also required
- Certificate of incorporation or evidence of business registration from the CAC
- Board resolution appointing Rostrum as the company’s stockbroker
- Passport photographs of all directors and signatories, signed on the back
Joint
Two holders investing together on one account.
Use the Individual form and tick “Joint” as the category of account. It includes a section for the second holder’s details.
Estate
The estate of a deceased holder, operated by the appointed executors or administrators.
What you will need
Every category asks for the following, so it is worth having them to hand before you start.
- A valid means of identification — international passport, driver’s licence or National ID — with its number, issue date and expiry date
- Your Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- Bank account details, in a name matching the CSCS account name
- A recent passport photograph
- Next of kin details
- Employment details, including your occupation and employer
What happens next
- Return your completed form and documents to customercare@rostrumsec.com or to our office at 257 Herbert Macaulay Way, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos.
- Our customer care team reviews it and comes back to you if anything is missing.
- Once your account is open, we will let you know about our self-trading option and set you up if it is something you would like to use.
