Major General Awosanya served in the Nigerian Army for 30 years before he retired. The General is a man of many parts- an administrator, a financial analyst, a strategist, a manager of man, material and money. He had his Diploma in Accounting from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, before joining the Nigerian Army. A project of the famous Gwent College of Higher Education, Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom, the General is a Member of the Association of Certified National Accountants of Nigeria (CNA), Member of Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM), member of the prestigious National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) where bagged his MNIM.
He attended the University of Lagos and Federal University of Technology, Akure where he had Diploma and MBA respectively. He also has a PhD in Accounting from Marlborough University, Honolulu, USA. Whilst in the Army he had the following medals to his credit: Forces Service Star (FSS), Meritorious Service Star (MSS), Distinguished Service Star (DSS) and United Nation Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL). His versatility in financial management is undoubted.
